The Head of Project Management leads the Project Management team and is responsible for the on-time, on-budget, on-scope, and on-quality delivery of the whole project portfolio in our Polish organization. These projects vary from small product deliveries to whole Substation Control and Protection Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the quality, time, and cost delivery of the project portfolio.
  2. Achieve or exceed the profitability targets set at the As sold phase.

People Leadership and Development:

  1. Establish and enforce effective project management approaches.
  2. Develop the project organization in collaboration with the management team and Project Managers.
  3. Plan, allocate, and manage project resources based on competencies, availability, and project fit.
  4. Guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect team members.

Budget, Sales, and Operations Planning:

  1. Participate in the bid/sales phase, including estimating and resource planning.

Project Execution and Control:

  1. Oversee project management activities at the portfolio level, including reviews with the management team and Project Managers.
  2. Actively resolve escalated issues and ensure proper and timely project closures.

Contract and Claims Management:

  1. Ensure proper application of contract and claim management methods as per company policies and agreements.

Stakeholder Relations:

  1. Build and maintain relationships with key PMO stakeholders.
  2. Serve as an escalation point for systemic and individual project management issues.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

  1. Promote and maintain a culture of health and safety in all project operations.

Interface with Operating Unit Management:

  1. Lead monthly financial performance presentations for the Operating Unit in collaboration with the business controller.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience in the Power Transmission, Distribution, or Generation sector.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  3. Proven leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  4. Strong financial budgeting capabilities and ability to hold teams accountable to deadlines.
  5. Demonstrated project management experience.
  6. Proficiency in English (C1) and Polish (C1).
