What You’ll Be Driving
- Setting the vision and overall product strategy for the organization in collaboration with executive leadership;
- Ensuring that the product strategy aligns with the companys broader business goals and long‑term vision;
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of product managers and other professionals within the product management function;
- Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the product team;
- Making strategic decisions about resource allocation, prioritization, and portfolio optimisation;
- Collaborating with C‑level executives, marketing, sales, engineering, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment between product initiatives and company strategies;
- Conducting comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning;
- Refining and communicating product positioning and differentiation strategies;
- Maximising the financial performance of the product portfolio and ensuring a positive return on investment;
- Driving a culture of innovation within the product team, identifying and capitalising on market opportunities;
- Maintaining a forward‑thinking approach to emerging technologies and industry trends;
- Serving as a key advocate for customers within the organization;
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into product development;
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks related to product development and market changes;
- Overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to retirement;
- Providing regular reports on the performance of the product portfolio and key metrics;
- Determining the direction of development of major products and the company;
- Creating and launching new major products that solve new customer problems or focus on new segments or projects involving four or more departments including compliance and regulation;
- Identifying grey spots and problems in the organisation, taking responsibility for their solutions.
What Makes You a GR8 Fit
- 5+ years as a Product Manager, 2+ years as Lead Product Manager;
- Defines metrics at the company level, determines the division of responsibility for metrics between departments and teams, finds gaps;
- Ensures constant and high growth of metrics due to smooth work and launches of new projects in its departments;
- Plan/vision for the development of large products for 12 – 24 months;
- Determines the companys strategy together with other directors;
- Responsible for the balance of resources within the department and the company as a whole;
- Ensures productive work with other company functions;
- Responsible for risks, relations with partners/clients and regulators;
- Resolves difficulties between departments, balances areas of responsibility;
- Creates (or disbands) new teams and groups as necessary;
- Manages five PMs, some of whom are Lead Product Managers. Hired or developed at least one Team Leader or higher;
- Provides feedback and supports other departments;
- A clear plan for how to grow the department(s) over the next 12 months, including balance between different departments;
- Initiates and implements cultural changes in the company. Changes in the structure of commands and functions.
