Head of Lending

As a Head of Lending you will be responsible for leading and managing lending activities in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal and Bulgaria. Working in this position you are expected to coordinate and take full responsibility for team formation, product development, risk management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the banking, financial and agricultural sectors
• Proven track record in managing lending operations in a regulated environment
• Significant experience in the agricultural sector
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are nice to have
• Proficiency in English - must have
• Experience in leading teams, strategic planning
• Being a strong team player and proactive leader with excellent communication skills, and creative problem-solving abilities to drive growth and overcome challenges.
• Hands on management style, can-do approach
• Proficiency in financial modeling, credit analysis and risk management
• Knowledge of financial software and lending platforms

Duties:

• Develop and implement strategic credit risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with the CFO and financial team on long-term financial plans and budgets.
• Ensure lending practices comply with regulations and prepare compliance reports.
• Monitor and adjust loan portfolio management strategies.
• Use analytical tools to track loan performance, identify trends, and prepare reports for senior management.
• Oversee loan management software implementation and maintenance, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Streamline team workflow, set clear goals, and enhance performance through training and motivation.
• Make decisions on team composition and organizational structure.
• Manage and cooperate with international team managers.
• 30% business travel, initially to Lithuania for knowledge transfer and collaboration, later extending to other countries.
