Head of International Development (RES)



Your responsibilities

  • Participation in the development and implementation of Green Capital's international expansion strategy.
  • Managing distributed development teams in several countries — supervising approximately 20 specialists and managers, setting strategic and operational goals, and holding them accountable for results.
  • Overseeing the development of the international RES project portfolio — coordinating projects from the greenfield phase to RTB, with the goal of achieving planned value and meeting implementation schedules.
  • Business development activities in international markets — identifying new investment opportunities and strategic expansion directions.
  • Establishing cooperation with foreign partners — building and maintaining relationships with local contractors, authorities, and project stakeholders.
  • Close cooperation with the Management Board and the development team in Poland.
  • Strategic negotiations with international partners — concluding joint venture agreements, partnership development agreements, and project sale transactions.
  • Cooperation with financial institutions — negotiating project financing terms, securing capital for development, and managing relationships with banks and investment funds.
  • Supervising the team responsible for accounting for project development in subordinate markets.
  • Supervising the international legal department responsible for negotiating lease, project, and other agreements.

Our requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in RES project development, including all stages from greenfield to RTB.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in senior management positions with responsibility for international teams.
  • Higher education (preferred: energy, engineering, management, or related fields).
  • Experience in managing distributed, multicultural teams in an international environment.
  • Knowledge of the RES industry in the area of large PV and wind projects, as well as energy storage technologies (BESS).
  • Knowledge of RES project financing principles and cooperation with banks, funds, and financial institutions.
  • Fluent English (C1/C2 level); knowledge of additional languages (French, Spanish, Arabic) will be an additional asset.
  • High level of independence, leadership skills, and the ability to build and motivate teams.
  • Experience in M&A transactions and the sale of energy projects.
  • Experience in securing project financing (project finance).
  • Knowledge of innovative RES technologies, such as hydrogen projects and other modern technology projects.
  • Network of contacts in the international RES industry.
  • Experience in international RES projects (Europe, Africa, Asia, or Latin America) will be an additional asset.

  • As Head of International Development, you will be responsible for shaping and implementing Green Capital's international expansion strategy in key global markets. You will lead distributed international development teams, build strategic relationships with partners and financial institutions, and oversee the development of a RES project portfolio worth hundreds of millions of euros. Your efforts will have a direct impact on Green Capital's position as a leading player in the renewable energy sector in Europe, Africa, and South America.
