We’re looking for a Head of Growth to take the lead in driving our Sales team, shaping strategic business initiatives, and collaborating closely with Marketing and Delivery to fuel company-wide growth. Core Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition: Proactively identify and engage potential clients through networking, industry events, cold outreach, and leveraging digital platforms. Focus on forging meaningful connections that convert into sustainable business opportunities.
  • Strategic Business Growth: Develop and execute a detailed business development strategy. This strategy should pinpoint new market opportunities, deeply understand customer needs, and align TeaCode’s offerings to effectively meet these needs.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Assume leadership of the current Business Development (BizDev) team. Assess and restructure the team as necessary to optimize performance and focus on new business acquisition.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize comprehensive data analysis to make informed decisions. Set and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and continually refine business processes based on data insights to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaboration and Strategy Implementation: Work closely with the Head of Marketing, Head of Delivery, and the Board to ensure strategic goals are met. Collaborate across departments to implement business strategies seamlessly.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Take the lead in negotiations with potential clients to secure favorable terms that comply with legal standards, in close collaboration with legal advisors.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee and manage budgets related to business growth. Conduct detailed financial analyses in partnership with the Finance Department and CEO to ensure cost-effectiveness and accurate sales and revenue forecasting from new business ventures.
  • Presentation and Representation: Play a key role in creating offers and presentations for potential clients. Represent TeaCode at industry events and conferences, acting as a spokesperson. Engage in networking with potential partners and clients, effectively communicating TeaCodes value proposition to elevate the company’s profile through public speaking and media engagements.

 

What do we expect from you?

  • Proven Experience: At least 4+ years in a business development or sales leadership role within an IT or software company, preferably in a software house. Demonstrated success in developing new business, exceeding sales targets, and leading sales teams in the tech or software development sector.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English, both speaking and writing, is essential. Additional languages would be advantageous given our global client base.
  • Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the software development industry is required. This includes familiarity with current industry trends, emerging technologies, and a thorough understanding of sales processes specific to the IT industry.
  • Communication and Negotiation Skills: Exceptional communication abilities are crucial. You should be adept at persuasive negotiation and skilled in building and maintaining strong, productive relationships.
  • Technical Proficiency: You should be proficient with CRM software, particularly HubSpot, and have a solid understanding of project management tools such as the Atlassian suite. Familiarity with other BizDev tools like Reply.io, Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is also expected.
  • Strategic and Creative Thinking: High level of initiative and innovative thinking, focused on identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities. You should be able to use creative approaches to overcome challenges and drive business growth.
  • Leadership Qualities: A strong leadership mentality is required, with proven skills in motivating and guiding teams, restructuring teams if necessary, and leading by example in pursuit of company goals.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to set and track key performance indicators (KPIs), use data analytics to inform decisions, and continuously refine strategies based on data insights.
  • Financial and Contractual Acumen: Experience in financial planning and analysis, managing budgets related to business growth, and leading contract negotiations in collaboration with legal advisors.
