Head of Fleet Assets

Your responsibilities

  • Optimize asset lifecycle, fleet planning, utilization, and compliance
  • Implement robust preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve safety. Oversee maintenance, and repair decision process
  • Analyze and manage the cost of ownership (TCO) of the fleet and implement optimizations
  • Oversee procurement process, lease contracts, and supplier relations
  • Negotiate with suppliers in area of direct responsibility, i.e.: insurance, repairs, fuel, and fleet expenses, ensuring best value for business
  • Manage insurance strategy, insurance cost and risk mitigation
  • Use data analytics, KPIs and benchmarking to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Active involvement in developing of company assets strategy
  • Provide clear financial insights to support investment decisions and contract bids
  • Ensure all assets meet regulatory, safety and environmental standards
  • Drive sustainability initiatives including alternative fuel adoption and emissions reduction
  • Monitor risks (financial, operational, regulatory) and propose risk mitigation strategies
  • Manage and develop international teams

Our requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in fleet operations, asset management, procurement, or insurance
  • Industry experience in Transport and Logistics would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of asset lifecycle management and financial planning
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor fleet performance and TCO
  • Ability to develop and implement cost saving initiatives
  • Experience in supplier and contract management
  • Understanding of compliance and risk management in transport operations
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially minded
  • Problem solving skills and ability to simplify complex issues into clear actions
  • Results oriented with can do attitude
  • Very good communicator who can influence at all levels of the organization
  • Collaborative leader who builds trust and engagement across functions

Role Purpose

The Head of Fleet Assets will take ownership of the company’s asset strategy and performance, ensuring the fleet and related infrastructure deliver optimal value across their lifecycle. The role demands strong analytical capability to interpret asset performance data and excellent communication skills to influence senior stakeholders, suppliers, and operational teams.
