We are currently looking for an experienced SSC Head focused on finance for our client.
Your responsibilities
Oversee the Transition activities of the Europe shared service center
Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining key milestone, transition events, timelines and resource requirements
Develop/enhance the training programs for functions transitioning to the GSC centre
Work with the leadership team to develop and evolve the shared services strategy and roadmap
Define, monitor and improve shared services metrics and performance per function/capability
Manage key stakeholder relationships that are crucial for shared services success
Evolve the shared services ways of working to ensure a balance of shared ownership between the relevant DPE team and shared services team members
Help teams using shared services to refine their processes for greater efficiency and automation
Work with the Director of Shared Services to identify new areas that shared services could support and build out the relevant business case for review/approval
Establish an onboarding and training program for each of the functions that migrate to Shared Services considering regional differences..
Identify and ensure implementation of process and system enhancements to continuously improve operations.
Recognise and communicate potential risks/issues with teams
Liaise with HR/Payroll consultants to ensure Polish compliance with government regulations
Ensure employee onboarding completed according to Polish regulations.
Review and approve additional tasks and ensure adequate resourcing is available
Employer requirements
10+ years management and shared service experience and/or Financial Controller/Manager position in commercial business
Excellent English language skills, ideal knowledge of German and French languages.
Ability to manage a diverse team, in a dynamic environment, self-starter who has ability to work autonomously.
Experience developing training programs, implementing and measuring KPIs across functions.
Professional accounting qualification, minimum bachelors degree in accounting, with relevant management accounting reporting experience
Demonstrated ability to think critically, develop innovative strategies, and embody a customer service mentality
Proven ability to foster collaboration, build partnerships, and influence teams.
Natural leadership skills, with a focus on coaching, inspiration, and encouraging best practice for exemplary delivery that is measurable via clear quantifiable results
Demonstrated resilience and high agility.
Experience or proven understanding of GDPR
Strong grasp of international data laws and regulations for European law
