We are looking for a Head of Finance Operations to make an impact by working closely with the Finance department and driving excellence in safeguarding and regulatory compliance. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to take ownership of a critical function within our organization.

This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact, ensuring the safety and integrity of client funds while driving innovation and efficiency in financial operations.


  • 5+ years experience running a team managing client safeguarded funds.
  • Proven track record of working with regulators, for example the KNF or the FCA.
  • Experience in a fast-paced start-up or high-growth environment, ideally within payments, fintech, or financial services.
  • Experience in designing and implementing safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrable history of automation of processes.
  • Fluency in English and Polish.

,[Lead and oversee the Finance Operations (Safeguarding) team to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements in the UK and Poland (and any other countries we handle client money)., Maintain accurate segregation and reconciliation of client funds in accordance with FCA and KNF regulations., Maintain, implement and automate robust processes for daily monitoring of safeguarded accounts, ensuring that client funds are protected at all times., Manage and lead a team of two analysts., Ensure timely and accurate production of required regulatory reporting., Work closely with compliance and legal teams to stay ahead of any changes to safeguarding regulations and implement necessary adjustments proactively., Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency within the safeguarding function., Develop, update, and maintain safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure they are current and compliant., Conduct regular training and communication sessions with the wider finance team to promote understanding and adherence to safeguarding principles.
