We are looking for a Head of Engineering for Lido. An experienced technology leader with broad experience in delivering mission critical applications and building highly effective and engaged product delivery organization in a scaled and distributed setup.

As Head of Engineering, you will be responsible to develop and lead the product delivery organization.
You ensure efficient and state of the art software development, testing and deployment processes across the whole Lido product line.
In your role you will define the engineering best practices and define the organizational framework and culture to plan and execute transformations at both organizational and technical levels.
You will lead the whole Lido engineering organization across all locations and ensure continuous technology-driven innovation.

Tasks:

• Define and communicate Lidos technical strategy, architecture and roadmap.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Define, implement, and continuously improve all aspects of the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, strategic planning, design/architecture, development, delivery, and maintenance.
• Lead, mentor, develop and manage a team of more than 350 smart, skilled, and passionate engineers, including software developers, architects, and other technical professionals (covering teams in Frankfurt, Gdansk, Zürich and Princeton).
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the engineering organization to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering organization.
• Maintain a high standard of technical excellence by promoting best practices, code reviews, and quality assurance processes. Champion a culture of writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Ensure continuous technology-driven innovation: AI deployment, cloud usage, continuous improvement of engineering processes.
• Planning, monitoring, and management of the budget for your area of responsibility including introduction, measurement and adherence to suitable non-financial KPIs to measure the success of the development organization.

Requirements:

• University degree, preferably in computer science, economics or engineering (g. aerospace) and relevant professional experience in the IT product implementation (at least 6 years)
• Excellent skills in software engineering, agile methodologies, IT management methodologies, state of the
  art technology
• High social and intellectual competence, experience in change projects in large organizations, strong leadership and problem-solving skills at all hierarchical levels
• Innovative spirit, ability to work independently, ability to coach and lead a large multinational team
• Solid experience in leadership roles
• Business fluent in English, experience with intercultural teams, willingness to travel
• German language skills are helpful but not a must
