Position: Group Finance Controller (Head of Controllership)

Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial operations and reporting within the organization across all operating jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Financial statements preparation: Supervise accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP in all locations. Support M&A activities including due diligence, integration, and post‑merger reporting.
• Technical and operational accounting: Review and analyze accounting treatment of new transactions, maintain company accounting policies and chart of accounts, oversee and manage accounting operations across all entities, lead month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Automation: Drive automation and optimization of accounting and financial reporting to reduce period‑end closure time, increase accuracy, and ensure data consistency across systems.
• Revenue: Oversee revenue recognition, collections from merchants, optimize and automate the process, and build relationships with the payments team to support data‑driven decisions.
• Audit coordination: Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during financial audits, facilitate audit processes, provide documentation, and address findings.
• Internal controls: Develop and maintain internal control frameworks for financial operations.
• Risk mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks associated with financial processes, conduct financial analysis to assess performance, identify trends, and provide insights for optimization and cost reduction.
• Team leadership and development: Lead and develop a finance team, provide guidance and coaching to ensure high performance and continuous improvement in controllership functions.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, audit or controllership, preferably in a multinational or tech‑driven environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and multi‑jurisdictional GAAP standards.
• Proven experience managing complex audits, revenue recognition, inter‑company operations, and tax compliance.
• Track record in driving automation initiatives and ERP/reporting system optimization is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
• Experience working in fast‑paced, high‑growth, or digital product environments is a plus.
