Akamais Infrastructure Engineering & Operations organization builds and maintains Akamais Platform, one of the worlds largest distributed platforms. Our Server Hardware Engineering team is responsible for designing, qualifying, and testing servers for our growing network.

Partner with the best

As a Hardware Engineer, you will be developing and qualifying new hardware platforms destined for Akamais growing network. Youll be a part of a team that designs servers and develops firmware for our growing platform consisting of over 300,000 servers in 130 countries.

As a Hardware Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Analyzing widespread hardware failures and identifying root causes
• Building systems and processes to identify widespread hardware failures
• Performing vendor management of OEM and ODM servers
• Contributing to the hardware development life cycle from conception to deployment to deliver high quality solutions
• Designing and executing targeted tests to accurately reproduce and analyze system errors
• Working with systems responsible for testing x86 server hardware and embedded software

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have relevant experience and a Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Automation and Robotics, Electronics and Telecommunication or related field
• Have experience with one or more of the following languages: Python, Bash in a Linux environment
• Have a good understanding of Computer Architecture - CPUs, GPU, Drive, Memory Subsystem, Networking
• Be able to define hardware component testing processes, technologies, and tools and leverage methodologies predominantly based on automated scripts and monitoring systems
• Be a good team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-changing environment
• Be open to a hybrid work (3 days on-site a week) in Cracow
• Be able to lift 18kg independently
