Grid Connection Manager

As a Grid Connection Manager you will play a crucial role in the successful development and implementation of large-scale renewable energy projects. You will lead all aspects of grid connection initiatives for our diverse portfolio, which includes PV, BESS, and onshore wind projects. Your expertise will ensure optimal integration of our projects with local and national grid infrastructures, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and achieving project deliverables on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

-         Develop and manage comprehensive grid connection strategies for each project, including feasibility studies, technical analysis, and connection agreements.

-         Ensure all grid connection activities comply with local, regional, and national regulations. Stay updated with regulatory developments affecting grid connection and integrate necessary changes into project planning.

-         Collaborate with utility companies, grid operators, regulatory bodies, and internal teams. Negotiate terms and conditions for grid connection and power off-take agreements.

-         Work closely with project managers, engineers, and consultants to align grid connection activities with overall project timelines and objectives. Oversee the preparation of necessary technical documentation and submissions.

-         Provide technical guidance on grid integration technologies and innovations, including grid stability analysis, interconnection requirements, and the integration of renewable energy sources with existing grid infrastructure.

Qualifications:

-         Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.

-         Minimum of 5 years’ experience in grid connection or transmission roles within the renewable energy sector, specifically in PV, BESS, and onshore wind projects.

-         Strong understanding of electrical power systems, grid dynamics, and energy regulation.

-         Proven track record of successfully managing grid connections for large-scale energy projects.

-         Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of working with diverse stakeholders.

-         Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
