Join to apply for the Graduate legal associate role at Bending Spoons

At Bending Spoons, we’re striving to build one of the all-time great companies. A company that serves a huge number of customers, where team members grow to their full potential, functions at unparalleled levels of effectiveness and efficiency, creates value for shareholders at an extraordinary rate, and does so while adhering to high ethical standards.

To achieve this objective, we acquire digital businesses with untapped potential and make them as successful as possible by leveraging our platform – comprising our expertise, technologies, data, brand, talents, and company culture. We then reinvest the proceeds into making our platform more powerful and into acquiring new businesses, combining an investor’s capital allocation focus with a hands‑on operator approach.

For a talented, driven, and collaborative individual, working at Bending Spoons is an opportunity to learn, make an impact, and progress their career at an exceptionally high rate. That’s our promise to such a candidate. If you’re still studying or completing your legal traineeship, dont worry—if the selection process goes well, we’re happy to wait until you’re done.

Responsibilities

  • Join one of our key legal areas—Corporate M&A, Product & Commercial, or AI & Privacy—supporting the team by assisting with research, drafting, and day‑to‑day operations.
  • Assist in the review and preparation of commercial agreements, internal policies, and compliance documentation under the guidance of more senior team members.
  • Contribute to corporate governance, M&A, and investment activities by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product, Finance, HR) to help identify and address legal and regulatory questions that arise in our fast‑moving environment.
  • Help monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to Bending Spoons’ global operations and support the team in communicating key updates internally.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of internal legal processes, templates, and playbooks—seeking scalable and efficient ways to support the company’s growth.

What we look for

  • Reasoning ability. Given the necessary knowledge, you can solve complex problems. You think from first principles, structure your ideas sharply, resist bias, and take care of the details that matter.
  • Drive. You’re extremely ambitious in everything you do, and your initiative, effort, and tenacity match that ambition. You feel deeply responsible for your work and hold yourself to a high—and rising—bar.
  • Team spirit. You give generously without expecting a return, support the best idea, not your idea, and are always happy to get your hands dirty to help your teammates. You’re reliable, honest, and transparent.
  • Proficiency in English. You read, write, and speak proficiently in English.

What we offer

  • Incredibly talented, entrepreneurial teams. Work with small, result‑oriented, autonomous teams alongside some of the brightest people in the field.
  • An exceptional opportunity for growth. We prioritize placing outstanding candidates in the ideal positions to thrive, and Spooners in their 20s lead products worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
  • Competitive pay and access to equity. Typical salary ranges vary by location and impact, starting at £85,797 in London and €66,065 elsewhere in Europe, with higher ranges for experienced candidates.
  • All the benefits. Flexible hours, remote working, unlimited learning and training, top‑of‑market health insurance, a rich relocation package, generous parental support, and a yearly retreat to a stunning location.

Ramp up

To help you ramp up quickly and set yourself up for success, we recommend spending your first few months working from our Milan office, regardless of your long‑term work location. It’s the best way to rapidly absorb our company culture and build trust with teammates. We’ll support you with generous travel and accommodation assistance. After that, you’re welcome to work from our offices in Milan or London, or remotely from approved countries—depending on what we agree at the offer stage.
