We are looking for a Compiler Validation Engineer who is willing to invest a significant amount of time and effort into the development of internal validation tools and Intel Graphic Compiler (IGC) quality improvement.

IGC is a complex software product, and its validation is largely about creating a code that is capable of identifying corner cases and inconsistencies between the actual compiler implementation and its expected behaviour.

Our team is mainly focused on improving the quality of IGC on Compute workloads and our main goal is the IGC reliability on GPGPU tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Produce test content in the form of SPIRV, LLVMIR, OpenCL and other APIs used by IGC
2. Develop, support, and monitor testing infrastructure
3. Improve existing and develop new validation tools
4. Assist developers with complex ULTs and new feature testing
5. Improve existing methods for compiler verification (fuzzing) and adopt less-widespread approaches formal verification

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Knowledge and skills in validation of complex software
2. Strong knowledge of QA processes, Continues Integration
3. Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
4. C/C++ programming skills and corresponding work experience
5. Knowledge of modern C++ standards
6. Skills in complex debugging
7. Understanding of multi-threading and parallel programming
8. Knowledge of industry development tools and methods
9. Code coverage and profile analysis, other Val-/Cache-/Call- grinds, Pin tool, etc.
10. Tools for Static Code Analysis Coverity, Klocwork, other checkers) and various Sanitizers
11. Knowledge of auto-generated documentation is a plus
12. Knowledge of HW (CPU/GPU) architecture and Operating Systems
13. Processes and Threads
14. Registers, caches and their levels, memory sub-system
15. Communication between OS and applications
16. Critical thinking, self-discipline, effective communication and teamwork are essential

Nice to have:

1. DevOps knowledge is very welcome
2. Git – advanced knowledge of concepts, fluent in CLI
3. GitHub – advanced skills (actions, workflows, etc.)
4. Bash, Python, Ruby and Go
5. Familiar with UI/UX development
6. Experience with Docker
7. Jenkins - advanced user (experience in creating new Jobs)
8. Experience in distributed heterogeneous HW systems – up to support and maintenance activity
9. Knowledge of LLVM (or other) compiler internals is highly desirable
10. Types of Intermediate Representations (IR)
11. Difference between front-ends and back-end
12. Analytical Data Structures
13. Basic transformations
14. LIT infrastructure
15. Experience in developing and/or validating of optimizing compiler (fuzzers, test generators, formal verification)
16. Knowledge of GPU computing APIs like OpenCL, OneAPI, CUDA
