About Coty

Coty’s Global Tax Team plays a strategic and operational role in enabling business growth and financial efficiency whilst ensuring global tax compliance. The team works closely with local market teams to ensure compliance and consistency in our ways of working. We act as trusted advisors, providing expert input on commercial transactions and supporting senior management. Our input is requested and considered for strategic decision making. The tax team operates across multiple countries – United States, Netherlands, Singapore, and Poland. Our dynamic international team brings deep expertise and proactive collaboration across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global indirect tax advisory, acting as first point of contact for VAT/GST matters.
  • Advise on tax implications following restructuring, M&A, disposals, and commercial transactions.
  • Develop and translate complex tax concepts into actionable business insights aligned with business objectives.
  • Implement new tax legislation continuously.
  • Collaborate with external advisors for complex tax issues.
  • Provide high‑quality, practical advice on complex VAT matters, including cross‑border transactions and triangulation.
  • Support AP and Intercompany teams on tax coding and transaction price management.
  • Review customer contracts, provide Incoterms for new shipping lanes, and assist with various projects.
  • Lead weekly invoice review calls.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, GST, sales tax, customs, and other indirect taxes across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Monitor legislative changes and assess impact on the business.
  • Assist local markets with VAT queries and audits, draft VAT memos for tax authorities.
  • Develop and maintain a robust indirect tax control framework and manage external tax audits and disputes.
  • Drive automation and digitalization of indirect tax processes, including SAP master data setup and testing for tax flows.
  • Identify cash‑flow efficiencies and tax‑saving opportunities.
  • Liaise with vendors/customers to align tax treatments on invoicing, collaborate with Group Tax, Finance, Supply Chain, Customs, IT, and other departments.
  • Engage with tax authorities and external advisors as part of the tax leadership team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certified or 7+ years of indirect tax advisory experience in an international environment.
  • Proficient in tax planning, controversy management, technology implementation, and multi‑jurisdictional compliance and audit.
  • Dynamic, proactive individual with strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage major corporate projects and tax audits across geographies.
  • Excellent communicator with strong team‑player attitude, able to interact with Global Director Indirect Tax, local and regional CFOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English – written and verbal – is mandatory.
  • Self‑starter with perseverance, delivering end‑to‑end solutions.
  • Hands‑on experience with tax compliance systems and ERP platforms, preferably SAP (S/4Hana, Ariba).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
