The Global Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading the tactical purchasing activities across a defined group of suppliers. The primary focus is to ensure the existing supply base consistently performs at a level that supports attainment of business imperatives.

Operating within the Global Demand Management team, this role is pivotal in ensuring supplier can support the company’s commitments to customers, with a strong emphasis on risk mitigation, delivery accuracy, and minimizing exposure to component obsolescence and inventory risks.

What you will do

  • Acts as the primary contact for risk escalation, including evaluation of the risk, and close collaboration with functional colleagues to establish and secure mitigation plans, ensuring no operational disruption.
  • Lead supplier relationship management activities, including monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and facilitating corrective actions, to ensure service levels and contractual commitments are consistently achieved.
  • Support the implementation of optimized replenishment strategies during the implementation stage of supplier transitions, therefore limit inventory exposure whilst maintaining performance.
  • Validate forecast as part of the supply planning process, verifying a supplier is capable of meeting ongoing service level expectations.
  • Manage price negotiation for nonstrategic suppliers, for those vendors that are not strategic and support sourcing with regards to performance insight for strategic suppliers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing efficiency in procurement processes and supplier collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate supplier data, related to obsolescence tracking, potential exposure, price changes and communication exchanges.

What you need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • Required Fluency in English and Polish.
  • Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, preferably in a global environment.
  • Proficiency with SAP (MM, Ariba, or related modules) would be a plus. Other ERP systems can be considered.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive corrective actions.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage supplier relationships effectively.
