Overview

Global Process Expert - General Accounting

Responsible for providing general accounting services to clients. Activities include cost accounting; journal entries preparation; cash flow; general ledger processing; reconciliations; reporting; and tax support etc. Ensures accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting/procedural standards of accounting records, financial statements and/or financial reports. May generate financial statements and reports for internal and/or external use. A Specialist Professional (P4) is a recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from managers. Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and often complex.

Your background

  • Post graduation in Finance or MBA.
  • 5 to 9 years of relevant experience.
  • meticulous, organized, ability to direct and see tasks to a successful conclusion.
  • Focus on the details, ensuring actions are quickly resolved.
  • Self-Starter with an inquisitive nature with a positive willingness to improve & streamline processes to be more efficient.
  • Sound knowledge of the current Trintech & Blackline 360, ideally at admin level, would be a benefit.
  • Experience of SAP S4 General Accounting/Reporting modules to a high standard.
  • Ability to globally communicate and deliver solutions to colleagues.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

Responsibilities

  1. 1. Reconciliation Tool Management
    • Ensure the reconciliation tool is up to date in accordance with Group policy, and controls fit for purpose and being adhered to.
    • Process changes requests promptly.
    • Create and maintain reconciliation schedules.
    • Update policy report to reflect new incoming accounts.
    • Assign and deactivate accounts as necessary.
    • Monitor deadlines and overall reconciliation performance to ensure compliance and efficiency.
    • Prepare annual Risk review for management approval.
  2. 2. Task Closing Tool Management
    • Ensure tool reflects agreed Group Timetable. Amendments are enacted in a timely manner. Group controls are adhered to
    • Open periods as required.
    • Monitor deadlines and performance according to Group Timetable.
    • Generate SLI 117 report.
  3. 3. Implementation of New Finance Applications / maintenance of existing tools
    • Create and manage project timetable to ensure timely delivery. Coordinating with agreed stakeholders
    • Coordinate and organize User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
    • Prepare and deliver user training sessions and training materials.
    • Actively investigate, develop and deploy process improvements, enhancing.
  4. 4. Collaboration with IS and Vendor
    • Liaise with IS teams and external vendors to manage issues, updates, system changes, and project implementations.
  5. 5. User Support
    • Provide ongoing support to users regarding system usage, change requests, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
    • Maintain tool SOP’s and WIS.
    • Conduct tool training as and when required.
  6. 6. Quality Assurance
    • Conduct content quality check using various reports and data analysis.
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across tools
    • Confirm quarterly access approvals.
  7. 7. Global General Accounting Team
    • As part of a small Global team, they play an active participatory role with peers, and other General Accounting teams as and when required.
    • After initial period, it develops role to encompass SAP S4 support, like Global Process Expert - General Accounting colleagues.
    • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
