Global Payment Solutions (GPS) Business & Reporting Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Understand, review and challenge the information being subject to CESOP reporting obligations.
  • Actioning reporting change triggers as identified by the Risk Steward (e.g. Regulatory developments).
  • Monitoring and identifying internal & external (excluding Regulatory Developments) triggers of regulatory reporting change.
  • Performing impact assessment and implementing new or amended reporting obligations.
  • Overseeing activities performed by the Report Maker (EY Team).
  • Signing-off on the reporting solution, that it meets the design and regulatory reporting obligation.
  • Processing the sign-off through any regulatory required or internally mandated governance.
  • Performing report owner attestation confirming that the control environment is robust, report submissions are timely and accurate and lessons learnt and mitigating actions have been shared.
  • Communicate key findings and/or insights from the reported data to the stakeholders.
  • Assist in audit processes related to the reported data, providing necessary information and answering queries as required by the Risk Steward and Risk Owner.
  • May have to liaise with regulators on new or existing reports.
  • Develop strong relationships with country counterparts as well as regional and global stakeholders.

Our requirements

  • Bank’s activities, products and payment types, banking operational processes and procedures
  • GPS & HBCE business constructs.
  • Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment especially in the financial services sector (CESOP, PSD2, PSD3, etc.).
  • Understanding principles of risk management framework and controls.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PPT preferable.
  • 5-10 years in banking sector.
  • Analysis and/or execution of operational processes, procedures and controls.
  • Business Management experience.
  • Ideally some risk management/governance experience (preferably some tax or regulatory reporting experience/exposure but not a pre-requirement).
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency in English.
  • French or German language skills is a plus.

About the role

The role holder will be primarily responsible for the report ownership of HSBC Continental Europes (HBCE) compliance with the EUs Central Electronic System of Payment Information (CESOP) tax reporting directive across in scope entities (i.e., Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Malta). The role holder will be responsible for managing the reporting team (Ernest & Young) and coordinating with other departments and stakeholders to gather necessary data and execute against the quarterly reporting requirements.
