Summary

The role is an end-to-end finished goods and raw material planner for specific products, creating FG & SA MPS, generating purchase orders, ensuring inventory availability, and transmitting distribution plans. The role also monitors performance, investigates challenges, collaborates with teams to improve performance, communicates supply or demand issues, and defines inventory policy in conjunction with the CoE. The goal is to manage inventory performance in line with target levels.

Essential duties and responsibilities

1. Accountable for end-to-end finished goods, sub-assembly, and raw material planning including MPS, MRP, and DRP.
2. Lead a Master Production Plan for designated products.
3. Run production to satisfy Net Requirements (from both a cost and unit basis) and maintain service commitments while achieving operational goals.
4. Coordinate with DLL schedulers to ensure plan execution.
5. Make delivery commitments on MTO products.
6. For third-party procured products handle supply based on net requirements and coordinate with supplier to ensure timely delivery.
7. Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead-times, release-times, etc.
8. Run/maintain a plan for the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements relative to a defined Master Production Plan.
9. Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM).
10. Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
11. Maintain inventory relative to established targets.
12. Understand and handle risks to minimize the impact on the production schedule.
13. Collaborate with RM planners on order management and management of deliveries.
14. Identify risks to the material plan.
15. Run a finished goods Distribution plan for designated products through a defined network.
16. Maintain inventory relative to established targets and maintain service commitments while achieving operational goals.
17. Identify risks to the replenishment plan.

Who are we looking for?

An expert with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain/Logistics positions.

Proficient English speaker with very good knowledge of MS Office tools (especially Excel).

A person with strong leadership skills and a great teammate having an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the business including profitability, inventory turns, and service levels.

Strong communicator across multiple levels of the organization able to develop rapport with other functional leaders inside Baxter and Supply base and do analysis of tradeoffs between business objectives - able to think systemically.

An individual who embraces change, challenges the status quo, and makes recommendations for improvements to products and processes and builds tools that help simplify job tasks and shares these with others.

An expert influencing the thinking of, or gaining acceptance of others in sensitive situations, supervising, coaching, developing others, and getting results through team leadership and self.

In terms of education: degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or similar degree; Rapid response knowledge and APICS certification preferred.
