Global Legal Counsel (Commercial Contracts)
We are seeking a dynamic and tech-savvy Commercial Lawyer to join our team as Global Legal Counsel. The ideal candidate will possess 5-7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), with a strong background in supporting the implementation of AI-based Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems and reviewing standardized commercial contracts globally. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in German or another EU language is a plus. Prior in-house experience or experience in a leading international law firm is highly desirable.

How you will create an impact:
- Provide expert legal support for the implementation and ongoing use of an AI-based CLM system, ensuring it aligns with global standards and company policies.
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of standardized commercial contracts on a global scale, including NDAs, DPAs, and engagement letters.
- Advise on legal risks, business strategies, and other issues related to commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business units, procurement, IT, and senior management, to ensure contracts meet organizational objectives.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and guidelines to streamline the contract review process and promote best practices.
- Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting commercial contracts and AI-based systems.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programs on contract drafting, use of AI tools, and contract management for internal teams.
Your profile:
- Master’s degree in Law (LLB).
- 3-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial law.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Proficiency in German or another EU language is a significant advantage.
- Prior in-house experience or experience with a leading international law firm is highly desirable.
- Strong experience in implementing and supporting AI-based CLM systems.
- Excellent knowledge of commercial contract law and practices.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Tech-savvy with a keen interest in leveraging technology to improve legal processes.
