About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Global Lead Buyer – Indirects to join our global procurement team. In this role, you will lead sourcing strategies for indirect categories, manage key supplier relationships, and drive cost optimisation while ensuring quality and service excellence. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across multiple countries and support major customer projects, making a significant impact on global procurement performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and implement global sourcing strategies for indirect categories based on internal and external analysis.
- Share strategies and action plans with stakeholders and obtain necessary validations.
- Communicate timing and budget impact of sourcing actions to country purchasing organisations.
- Lead negotiations and manage global supplier relationships, including contract development and compliance.
- Execute or oversee RFP processes and ensure transparent vendor selection.
- Drive cost optimisation and year‑over‑year Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) improvements.
- Support sales and country purchasing organisations for major customer projects and manage supplier relationships for large global projects.
- Monitor implementation of strategies, contract compliance, and internal customer satisfaction.
- Lead internal process changes or improvements (e.g., demand management, bid management).
- Consolidate global vendor relationships and drive best practices across regions.
- Manage procurement projects and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong indirects category knowledge (5 + years).
- Strong contract knowledge and ability to review and negotiate contracts with minimal legal support.
- Previous experience managing partners at a senior level.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build credibility and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience in commercial modelling and cost base analysis.
- Ability to analyse and resolve complex problems quickly to drive performance improvement.
- Ability to handle and mitigate risk through effective strategic planning.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
