Product categories are at the heart of the ZF Aftermarket strategy and organization when it comes to product sales, profitability, and market penetration. The category Control Systems is thriving and one of the global leaders in braking. We are recruiting a best-in-class global expert and leader in the field of braking for passenger car friction products (brake pads and brake shoes).

What you can look forward to, as Global Category Management Friction Lead (m/f/d)

1. Details medium to long term strategic direction for the passenger car friction product line (brake pads and brake shoes), including market trends & competitor landscape, by defining growth requirements, brands, price positioning, product specifications and sourcing strategy.
2. Drives execution of strategy to deliver commercial success of respective product line and achieve sales, margin & profitability performance targets.
3. Leads definition of Go-to-Market Strategy with corresponding global sales, margin and market share targets deployed through Regional Category managers targets.
4. Fill in pipeline/reservoir for new product opportunities derived from OE technologies or new legislation or category related products.
5. Leads cross functional teams globally for execution of strategic measures.

Your profile

1. Min. Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economics or similar fields.
2. Min 8+ years of preferably automotive sectors experience in similar managerial positions in multi-nationalities organization.
3. Ability to see the big picture, understand business needs, formulate strategies and translate these into actions to achieve the business goals.
4. Presents ideas effectively & able to deliver presentations to Senior Management with fluent English.
5. Project management skills, to support follow up on implementation of strategic actions plans with strong negotiating, influencing and relationship management skills.
