Global Category Buyer

We are looking for Global Category Buyer who is proactive and experienced in managing their assigned supplier relationships. This position will be based in Warsaw, Poland.

Responsibilities

As part of our Global Category Purchasing team, you will be responsible for:

• Mapping future needs and leveraging KA (Kongsberg Automotive) spend to maximize benefit for KA
• Establishing a base of preferred suppliers and developing and implementing sourcing strategies
• Capturing savings through benchmark, sourcing/RFQs activities
• Establishing good contracting and acceptance practices
• Managing Supplier Feasibility Evaluation
• Leading supplier negotiations and selecting suppliers in accordance with defined process & strategy
• Monitoring adherence to commercial agreements, performance, and capacity of suppliers
• Ensuring supplier data is maintained in ERP system and Vendor Portal

Examples of Direct Material Categories: Metal parts and raw materials, Mechatronics and Plastic & Rubber

Examples of Indirect Material/Services Categories: Professional Services, Machines, Maintenance/Repair

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/masters degree in engineering, Economics and/or Business Management
• Minimum 3 years experience in Purchasing role (Preferably with Automotive or Industrial Background)
• Strong negotiation and supplier/stakeholder management skills
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Passion for identifying cost reduction/optimization possibilities and implementing them
• Business fluent in English, technical language (written & spoken)
• Comfortable using Excel
• Available to travel time-to-time for supplier visits or related events
