Join Levi Strauss & Co. to support the internal audit and Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) compliance team. In this role you will help evaluate financial and operational risks, control effectiveness, and ensure compliance for all company activities.

Global Audit Responsibilities

  • Assist the audit team with planning and execution of internal audits related to a variety of business activities, processes, and operations.
  • Monitor timely remediation of audit findings and assist/lead the preparation of quarterly status reports for the Global Audit and SOX Compliance Leadership Team.
  • Assist with the preparation and presentation of audit findings and recommendations to audit sponsors.
  • Participate in driving the department’s activities, including Risk Assessments, Enterprise Risk Management, Quality Assurance processes, and employee engagement.
  • Apply well‑reasoned judgments based on observations and supporting information.
  • Multitask across various audits and projects concurrently.
  • Conduct in‑depth analysis of business processes and controls.
  • Prioritize findings by significance, collaborate with business partners to develop remediation action plans.
  • Draft clear, concise audit reports and communications in business English.
  • Identify process improvements, opportunities to complete audit work more efficiently, and apply new audit/compliance tools and techniques.
  • Stay current on internal audit best practices and industry developments.
  • Apply knowledge learned to future projects.

SOX Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing the company’s global SOX compliance program for business and IT processes.
  • Document internal controls, perform walkthroughs, develop process flowcharts, create/update control matrices, test controls, and communicate results to process owners.
  • Test control design and effectiveness; ensure testing plans are followed and findings are escalated and resolved.
  • Review control documentation and provide feedback on improvements to meet public‑company documentation standards.
  • Assess and test effectiveness of Entity‑Level Controls.
  • Participate in ad‑hoc projects, including building a new team in our Bangalore office through interviewing, onboarding, and training.

Key Expectations and Results

  • Maintain strong partnerships with managers, audit team members, and stakeholders.
  • Deliver assigned tasks within deadlines and quality standards.
  • Assess root cause and propose resolutions to issues.
  • Manage costs within approved budget and submit expenses following LS&Co. Travel Policy.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or business.
  • CPA, CIA, or CA or equivalent with 3+ years of internal audit/SOX/testing experience.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX 404, and COSO framework.
  • Experience with a Big 4 CPA firm or a large multinational retail/consumer products company is a plus.
  • Understanding of IT general controls and automated controls.
  • Strong risk‑management experience, including assessments, audits, control design, and framework management.
  • Ability to work with diverse, cross‑functional teams and manage cultural sensitivities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience leading or managing a team is a plus.
  • Team‑oriented mentality with ability to work independently or remotely.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP and Wdesk (Workiva) experience a plus.

This is a hybrid position based in our Warsaw office. You are expected in office minimum 3 days per week, with flexibility as business needs dictate.
