The Revenue Recognition Specialist is part of a team responsible for providing high quality accounting service in the General Ledger for global internal company clients. In addition to performing daily operational tasks, will also have an opportunity to take part in the process transition, including creating procedures, recognizing areas for enhancement, and introducing improvements, along with stabilizing the migrated process.
Key responsibilities:
drive end to end process for served locations according to Bruker corporate policies.
review, maintain and validate status of orders process
ensure proper documentation in place (RRC)
follow up on deferred revenue
extended warranty
post BS and P&L Reclasses
perform Balance sheet account reconciliations in order to confirm the accuracy and validity of the process
monthly Reporting to Corporate
perform SOX controls
perform monthly statistical reports
support audits and other business queries.
Perform other duties as required.
Our requirements
To be successful in the role we need you to:
Minimum 2 years of General Ledger/ AR work experience required (former experience with US GAAP revenue preferred)
Communicate effectively and professionally in English (written and oral), other foreign language would be an asset
Graduate with minimum of BSc. degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
Advanced computer proficiency with SAP ERP and MS Office Suite including Excel expertise
Demonstrated ability to work on and own initiatives while also collaborating within a team
Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, then make clear and timely decisions
Proactive with the ability to manage time-dependent critical processes
Strong understanding of controls required within an accounting organization.
