For our client, a global leader in the oil & gas industry with a modern fleet of drilling platforms, we are looking for a GL specialist.
The General Ledger department at our client’s company is responsible for key processes, such as managing accounting records, preparing financial reports, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and controlling intercompany transactions.

Oczekujemy
- minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in AP/AR or GL
- proficiency in English, both spoken and written, at a minimum B2 level
- good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- knowledge of internal control principles and risk management
- international perspective – preferred experience working in GBS structures
- familiarity with fixed asset accounting (preferred)
- experience in maintaining and updating fixed asset registers, including acquisition, disposal, depreciation calculation, and valuation
- support in preparing fixed asset schedules for financial reporting purposes

Zadania
- preparing monthly and annual financial reports, including period-end reporting, managing accruals, ensuring data accuracy, and providing information for financial disclosures
- preparing bank and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations
- collaborating in the preparation of statutory financial statements and providing required data for auditors
- monitoring balance sheet positions, ensuring their current alignment, gathering necessary documentation, and verifying overdue or mismatched items
- timely and efficient processing of transactions, queries, and open items, with a strong focus on service quality
- acting in accordance with established procedures, internal controls, and applicable regulations
- identifying areas for improvement in accounting processes and actively supporting the implementation of optimization initiatives
- building and maintaining positive relationships with team members and collaborating with other departments in the organization
