GL Controller with German (EY GDS Poland)
Location: Wroclaw | Hybrid model: 2 days office / 3 days remote
The role
Finance role supporting the EMEIA region – Europe West with a focus on Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The General Ledger Controller/Accountant is an integral and crucial position in the Finance Team, supporting several business priorities and performing accounting support for period‑end close with SAP, along with analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly bookings and support of the finance team during month‑end close with SAP.
- Analysis of P&L and balance‑sheet accounts on a general and ad‑hoc basis.
- Participation in FY‑end close, including preparation and process of inventory review for external engagements.
- Participation in ongoing transformation projects within the accounting finance function.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or professional certification in a business‑related subject (e.g., Accounting, Finance).
- First experience in internal cost accounting or willingness to extend GL accounting knowledge. 3+ years of experience in finance/controlling or similar roles.
- Comfortable using MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
- Understanding of financial administrative processes and proactive identification of improvement opportunities.
Ideally
- Knowledge of SAP‑FI and SAP‑CO is an advantage.
