Requirements
Accounting Specialist with German
- Collaborating on a joint project with our colleagues from Germany.
- Providing accounting service, support and expertise for our clients, using accounting experience and knowledge, especially IFRS specifics.
- Recording all financial transactions as journal entries in the general ledger. Making necessary accruals and adjustments at the end of accounting periods to ensure that expenses and revenues are recorded in the correct periods.
- Regularly reconciling general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers (e.g., accounts payable, accounts receivable) and ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
- Identifying/proposing potential process improvements and cooperating in lean actions.
Qualifications
- Proven 3+ years of accounting experience in complex areas of the General Ledger field (or a combination of AP/AR/GL experience).
- General accounting knowledge (IFRS in particular) and operational experience utilizing and implementing IFRS standards.
- Practical knowledge of accounting processes, postings, and closing activities under HGB and IFRS.
- Experience in cooperating with auditors.
- Fluency in English and German: at least B2 level.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft package (especially advanced Excel) and experience in working with ERP systems.
- Good communication and presentation skills and proven experience in working within an international environment.
- Good organizational skills; ability to organize, prioritize and deliver tasks.
