Finance Managed Services (FMS) in PwC Poland is rapidly expanding as part of the Managed Services Operations. You can play an important role in supporting and transforming the operations of our domestic and international Clients. Responsibilities
- Accurately posting all business-related financial transactions into the general ledger system by preparing detailed journal entries and ensuring compliance with established accounting standards. At period-end, preparing and processing accruals and adjustments to align expenses and revenues with the appropriate accounting periods.
- Performing thorough reconciliations of general ledger balances against underlying subsidiary records, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers, identifying discrepancies, and resolving inconsistencies to maintain data integrity.
- Actively coordinating with teams responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll to verify the accuracy and timeliness of all financial data entries and ensure seamless financial operations across departments.
- Monitoring compliance with established service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs), systematically tracking customer satisfaction metrics, and implementing corrective actions to meet or exceed performance targets.
- Assessing current finance processes for inefficiencies, proactively recommending process enhancements, and participating in lean initiatives to optimize workflows and reduce operational redundancies.
- Facilitating the onboarding and training of new team members by sharing comprehensive knowledge of the team’s procedures, best practices, and operational systems, acting as a supportive “buddy” throughout their integration period.
Required qualifications
- Higher Education - University Degree (degree in accounting, finance, economics as an asset).
- 2–3 years of direct experience in General Ledger accounting, including preparing complex journal entries, managing month-end and year-end closing processes, and conducting detailed reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Professional working proficiency in English, with proven ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting.
- Proven advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis tools for reporting and process optimization.
- Demonstrated experience with leading accounting software platforms and ERP systems for transaction processing and financial record maintenance, such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics.
- Involvement in onboarding new clients or supporting the rollout of enhanced customer service procedures within a finance or accounting environment.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in working in SSC.
- ACCA or any other accounting certificate started.
