GL Accounting Expert | Finance Managed Services

Finance Managed Services (FMS) in PwC Poland is rapidly expanding as part of the Managed Services Operations. You can play an important role in supporting and transforming the operations of our domestic and international clients. We continuously enhance our operations by applying best practices, streamlining processes, and integrating cutting‑edge technological solutions for our customers. Join us in shaping and transforming operations for our domestic and international clients, as we delve into diverse, complex projects and collaborate closely with expert consulting teams to provide comprehensive finance services, including accounting and reporting, tax as well as financial planning & analysis, across various sectors in the region.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial escalation point for junior team members, providing guidance on company policies and established procedures.
• Lead and act as a subject matter expert during client calls, especially when addressing the most complex accounts and operational challenges.
• Design, implement, and monitor internal control systems to protect financial assets and ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial transactions and records.
• Oversee and coordinate the execution of operational changes, ensuring timely communication and alignment within cross‑functional teams.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancement, managing the rollout of initiatives that boost quality, efficiency, and standardization across regional operations.
• Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients to streamline payment processes and promptly resolve any client‑related payment issues.

Qualifications

• Extensive expertise in GL accounting, with at least 4‑5 years of experience in complex General Ledger areas and advanced knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Professional working proficiency in English, with proven ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting.
• Demonstrated experience with leading accounting software platforms and ERP systems for transaction processing and financial record maintenance, such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics.
• Results‑oriented approach, capable of working in a global environment and adapting to shifting priorities, including direct client supervision, even on client premises.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and feedback skills, enabling the leadership of operational quality calls.
• Strong organizational abilities to prioritize, deliver tasks efficiently, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience in maintaining external accounting for a variety of clients.
• ACCA or any other accounting certificate.
