GL Accountant (M/F) Miejsce pracy: Kraków Your responsibilities Carry out day-to-day General Ledger (GL) activities, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely postings. Support month-end and year-end closing processes, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and meeting deadlines to deliver reliable financial statements. Review operational workflows to assess their financial impact and contribute to data-driven decision-making. Implement and maintain effective financial controls, including balance sheet reconciliations. Identify, investigate, and resolve inconsistencies in financial data to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. Prepare audit-related documentation and act as a main contact for both internal and external auditors. Serve as a trusted finance partner to cross-functional teams by providing insights and recommendations. Deliver ad-hoc analyses, reports, and support to various departments as required. Evaluate business processes to understand financial implications and support strategic decisions. Proactively identify opportunities to improve and optimize accounting processes impacting financial reporting and broader business operations. Employer requirements Proven experience in accounting. Solid understanding of journal entries, General Ledger processes, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel (data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, spreadsheet management). Good command of English. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to clearly communicate complex financial data. Exposure to multi-country or global accounting processes.
