GL Accountant/Lead Accountant with German

Your responsibilities:

• Leading full accounting cycle for several SPVs
• Preparing quarter-end and year-end closures
• Preparing balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and any other required accounting statements or financial reports
• Maintaining, recording, and reconciling GL entries based on the relevant supporting documentation
• Performing daily accounting activities like payments, mappings, and keeping supporting trackers up to date
• Researching open accounting issues and liaising with the relevant parties to solve them
• Answering questions regarding various accounting issues and reports
• Supporting in tax returns preparation
• Supporting in other statutory reports
• Supporting audit process in providing reconciliations, supporting workings, and documents
• Performing other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills:

• Minimum of three to five years of relevant accounting experience
• Advanced accounting knowledge
• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Advanced English command
• German knowledge is required
• Communicative, detail-oriented, conscientious person, who demonstrates strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable reports to customers and to clearly present information
• Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of GAAP
• Knowledge of financial terms and principles, ability to conduct basic financial analysis
• Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents
• Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Experience with accounting and financial management software
