GL Accountant

The primary responsibility of GL Accountant is to ensure accurate and timely accounting representation of business transactions in the general ledger, maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.  
They work under the direction of the GL Team Lead to execute demanding tasks in general ledger accounting and reporting at the Shared Service Center.
Primary Activities

• Executes on R2R and Fixed Asset Accounting
• Examine closing entries and items for completeness, accuracy, and consistency with policies
• Manage complex bank movements and disclose special general ledger transactions
• Conduct regular sample quality checks for documentation of individual postings
• Prepare financial statement notes to support business accounting based on a disclosure checklist
• Provide advisory support to operational departments on applicable accounting guidelines
• Review and approve master data maintenance for general ledger accounting
• Prepare statistical reports from financial accounting for authorities
• Proactively engages in optimization initiatives for the end-to-end process, Record-to-Report
