We’re looking for an experienced Geospatial Technology Lead to join our Clients team in Wroclaw. In this role, you’ll drive the technical vision and lead the development of cutting-edge geospatial solutions that support property risk assessment and post-disaster analytics!

responsibilities :

Lead the design and evolution of scalable geospatial services, including satellite imagery analysis and natural hazard modeling.
Provide architectural guidance and define best practices for geospatial tech stack.
Oversee a cross-functional team of developers, data scientists, and GIS experts.
Build robust APIs and data products tailored to internal users (e.g., underwriters, actuaries) and external clients.
Stay current with emerging technologies in geospatial analytics and recommend relevant tools or frameworks.

requirements-expected :

7+ years in geospatial technology and software development, with 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
Solid experience with both raster (TIFF, COG) and vector (GeoJSON, H3, GeoParquet) data.
Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as PostGIS, QGIS, Mapbox, or ArcGIS.
Strong cloud experience, especially in AWS architecture and geospatial API design.
Proficiency in Python and JavaScript, including libraries like GDAL, Rasterio, GeoPandas, and Leaflet.
Knowledge of distributed data processing (e.g., Apache Spark, Sedona/GeoSpark).
Advanced English - at least B2+
Experience with event-driven architectures and scalable data pipelines.
Familiarity with computer vision applied to satellite or aerial imagery.
Understanding of catastrophe modeling concepts is a plus.
