For our client with an SSC located in Kraków, we are looking for a GL Team Leader with German.
Your responsibilities:
- Leading the General Ledger team and overseeing daily operations
- Preparation and posting of journal entries
- Preparation of financial statements
- Performing month-end and year-end closure activities
- Reconciling intercompany balances
- Maintaining General Ledger Master data
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations, including cash transactions reconciliation
- Analyzing, maintaining, and reporting fixed assets
- Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of required financial reports
- Updating financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and availability when needed
- Cooperating with internal and external auditors
- Participating in global improvement projects, initiating process improvements, and assisting with other accounting projects
- Assisting senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Cooperating with the local finance team and other departments
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the GL area in an SSC/BPO environment
- Advanced German (min. B2) and English (min. B2)
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
- Strong leadership skills and experience in team management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially strong MS Excel skills
- Ability to learn quickly, process-oriented, and a team player
