We are looking for an experienced General Ledger Team Leader to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with at least two years of experience in a similar position, especially with expertise in coordinating Knowledge Transfers.

Our client, a major international company, is looking for a GL Team Leader for their new Shared Services Center in Warsaw. This is an exciting chance to grow while establishing the process in this new SSC. The company offers a flexible work model that combines office and remote work (three times per week from the office), and their office is located in Warsaw.

Description

• Direct a team of specialists in providing General Ledger services for a designated regional cluster.
• Commit to delivering exceptional service to stakeholders by ensuring financial statements and reports are both accurate and compliant.
• Execute detailed intercompany reconciliations and rigorously maintain internal and SOX controls to align with SLA targets.
• Advocate for and implement standardized processes, aiming for continual efficiency enhancements across the team and its wider scope.
• Foster productive interactions with internal and external auditors and collaborate effectively with the Groups consolidation and reporting teams.
• Promote team development, guide career advancement, and facilitate recruitment to cultivate a high-performing team environment.

Profile

• Minimum of 2 years as a General Ledger Team Lead and at least 5 years in a SSC setting.
• Possession of a Chartered Accountant certification and familiarity with US GAAP is advantageous.
• Masters or Bachelors Degree in Finance and Accounting or similar.
• Proficiency in SAP Finance.
• Proven track record in leading and developing teams of more than 5 members.
• In-depth understanding of Finance, especially in General Ledger management.
• Prior involvement in Shared Services transitions is beneficial.
• Fluency in English is a must.
• Experience with internal controls, such as SOX, is beneficial.
• Willing to travel during the Transition phase.
