With a team of approximately 170 talented professionals, we deliver essential services across Finance, Tax, Legal, Marketing, IT and Business Process Management—ensuring operational excellence and enabling innovation across Embla Medical worldwide.

Your role

As a GL Accountant, you will be part of a team of over professionals executing Record to Report processes for 70+ entities across the Embla Medical world. This role plays a key part in maintaining high-quality financial reporting within the organization.

This position involves a broad range of accounting activities that ensure the accuracy of our financial records. Main responsibilities include posting manual journal entries such as accruals, reclassifications, and prepayments; entering taxes and salaries; recording and reconciling intercompany transactions; maintaining fixed asset registers, processing additions and disposals, and calculating depreciation.

An important part of your role will be regular balance sheet accounts reconciliation and review profit and loss accounts to verify the accuracy and completeness of recorded entries. These activities support month‑end closings, where meeting deadlines and ensuring data accuracy are essential.

Your tasks

• Month, quarter and year‑end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met and data is accurate
• Reporting financial statements to the Consolidation and Reporting Team using dedicated software
• Supporting internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Maintaining process documentation and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders across Europe, Africa, APAC, and the Americas

Who Are You

• You have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in finance and accounting, economics or related.
• You have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar position (preferably in SSC).
• You have accounting knowledge.
• You have a good/communicative command of English (written and spoken).
• You can easily play with MS Office (specifically Excel, Outlook and Teams).
• You are eager to learn new things and ready to take on challenges.
