We are looking for a proficient Platform Architect GCP who will be instrumental in guiding the design, implementation, and optimization of the platform on Google Cloud. The ideal

candidate will have a strong background in GCP services, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully leading platform engineering teams

Your tasks

• Create and maintain architectural blueprints for development in GCP
• Introduce new services/tools in the GCP platform
• Provide guidance on best practices, technical standards, and professional development for the team
• Review designs and architectures of the product teams and ensure they comply with the design blueprints
• Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of GCP infrastructure components, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
• Manage and implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools for efficient and automated deployment processes
• Implement and optimize platform engineering processes to enhance scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency on GCP
• Work closely with the security team to implement and enforce security measures in GCP environments
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies related to GCP platform services

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus
• At least 7 years of proven experience in a lead role overseeing platform engineering on the Google Cloud Platform
• In-depth knowledge of GCP services and infrastructure components
• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, and GCP security best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
