Role Overview
The GBS Finance Optimization Strategic Partner will play a critical role in driving transformation, efficiency, and strategic alignment across Global Business Services (GBS) Finance. This position will work independently to lead and facilitate strategic initiatives focused on expanding GBS services, process optimization, automation, innovation and data‑driven insights to enhance operational performance and deliver value to the business. The role requires strong leadership, deep finance expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders globally.
Your work will have a direct impact on the future of Jacobs GBS strategy, improving employee experience and strengthening GBS integration across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Transformation
- Execute transformational, cross‑functional process initiatives aligned with GBS and CFO strategic priorities.
- Act as liaison between GBS and enterprise functions, overseeing capability building in GBS and work migrations.
- Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior leadership on finance transformation, operational excellence.
- Lead PMO and Optimization teams to deliver high‑impact projects.
- Technology & Innovation
- Drive automation and AI adoption to improve efficiency and enable data‑driven decision‑making.
- Partner strategically with IT to align on tools, applications, and technology roadmaps.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
- Partner with business stakeholders to uncover challenges and deploy solutions with effective communication strategies.
- Work closely with functional leaders, process owners and designated SMEs to determine priorities for process optimization, identify opportunities for automation and AI adoption across GBS and ensure successful delivery of such projects.
- Drive One GBS approach internally and externally to strengthen GBS’s role as a trusted partner.
- Lead Change Management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
- LEAN & Continuous Improvement
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within GBS Finance, including LEAN deployment, ongoing development, and training.
- Transition ideas from concept to execution using advanced process mapping and analytics.
- M&A and Strategic Growth
- Support new M&A activity by promoting the GBS playbook and ensuring readiness for plug‑and‑play integration.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive international finance and accounting experience.
- Proven record of initiating, managing, and implementing complex business transformation projects/programs.
- Experience leading large, diverse, high‑performing teams and achieving objectives through managers and supervisors.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leadership.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast, always changing environment and persevere through challenges and ambiguity.
- Strong organizational change management (OCM) skills and excellent verbal/written communication.
- LEAN certification and/or a successful track record in process optimization.
- Expertise in automation, AI, and digital tools relevant to finance operations.
