Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the globe. Alongside this integral service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation.

Asset Servicing is a part of Global Banking and Market Division business unit responsible for the management of Mandatory and Voluntary Income and Corporate Actions events and Claims across the globe for equity and fixed income products. The team’s role in supporting both internal and external clients throughout the lifecycle of large-scale events, including Mergers and Acquisitions, Bankruptcies, Dividend Payments, Maturities provides a unique opportunity to play a part in real-time, impactful market transactions.

YOUR IMPACT

A successful candidate would focus on day-to-day execution of event processing, working to ensure that our businesses, clients, and stakeholders receive critical updates and support for their entitlements, elections and decision-making. The candidate would be part of EMEA team, collaborating with other groups across the globe, and with the opportunity to work cross-function. Areas of focus for this role include creation of announcement information, distributing and reconciling entitlements, alongside a dedicated client-facing service team and managing Market Claims.

• Appreciate key client strategies and proactively manage and articulate the impact on the team and function using BI/analytics and empirical data.

• Risk Management: Partner with regional management team to provide effective oversight of key Asset Servicing Functions.
• Challenge existing risk and control framework and the status quo to further reinforce the control environment.
• Proven ability to effectively manage operational risks and develop control enhancements.
• Provide guidance and advice from a risk and control perspective to ensure the proper remediation of risk arising from new products, business, migrations, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Corporate Actions, Income or Claims management experience is a plus.
• Analytical skills including reconciliation of internal or external discrepancies (breaks / balances).
• Excellent communication skills; experience in direct communication with external stakeholders/ clients is a plus.
• Strong team player who collaborates readily with others within and across teams.
• Encourages other team members to participate and contribute, and acknowledges others contributions.
• Forward-thinker who anticipates questions, plans for contingencies, and identifies clear objectives.
