Job Description
CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an experienced Gameplay Animator to join our team for a two year fixed-term contract. The person in this position will be responsible for creatures and humanoids animation. Gameplay Animators in our company work very closely with Gameplay Designers, Programmers, and Animation TDs, so implementation knowledge is crucial. Gameplay Animators work both with keyframe animation and mocap data, depending on the subject.
Daily responsibilities:
- Creating high quality animation assets with low turnover time.
- Follow the animation pipeline and the processes involved from the conceptual phase to implementation in Unreal Engine.
- Closely collaborating with the animation lead and the game designers.
- Working with both keyframe and mocap data.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of documented experience in video game animation.
- Must have experience in animating bipedal and quadrupedal characters.
- Passion for games, and be updated on the current game releases.
- Preferably a shipped title.
- Very good knowledge of Maya, and knowledge of Motion Builder as a plus.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with game designers, animation programmers and riggers.
- Outstanding creativity and a very strong commitment to the project.
