Fund Accounting Specialist in Private Capital with French

Join BNP Paribas CIB as a Fund Accounting Specialist in Private Capital with a requirement for French language skills. BNP Paribas S.A. (Branch in Poland) is part of the BNP Paribas Group with a 200‑year banking legacy, operating in Warsaw and Krakow. The role is part of the Securities Services business line, which specializes in multi‑asset servicing. This position will support the expansion of BNP Paribas’ operational scope in Poland.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in accounts preparation, equity, bond or private wealth funds.
• Fluent in English and French, required for direct client interaction.
• Accounting skills essential; experience in accounting, fund accounting, audit or private equity firms required.
• Knowledge of private‑capital fund structures and regulations is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, financial instruments and debt instruments.
• Proficient in Excel and other accounting packages.
• Client‑centric mindset.
• Attention to detail and inquisitive.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Flexible and self‑driven attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare end‑to‑end monthly/quarterly activities including cash bookkeeping, reconciliation, valuations of various asset types, bookkeeping in the accounting system for drawdowns and distributions, and accrual calculations.
• Perform activities related to NAV calculation.
• Prepare and review accounting reporting.
• Investigate discrepancies, including direct contact with the location.
• Ensure all tasks are performed timely and accurately, in accordance with local and global procedures.
• Manage client/location queries and provide high‑level customer service to external clients and business lines.
• Provide input for review and monitoring of existing business processes, procedures and checklists to maximise efficiency and productivity within the Private Capital Team.
