Responsibilities

Do you want to join client centric teams, work on innovative projects based on new technologies, apply dev craftsmanship practices within a stimulating, kind and digital environment? Join the Origination program!

The aim of this program is to ease the origination process of deals for the structured finance department. It includes structuration of the deals, their pricing, the management of all regulatory processes as well as addressing reporting needs that help Front Officers take their decision.

There are 6 teams working on the Origination program. These teams are client centric and are fully autonomous feature teams working on the same application (Origination Platform), each with their own backlog. We follow Agile SCRUM methodology.

Within the team, your mission will mainly consist of developing new features, conducting new projects and ensuring support activities on web applications aligned with digital transformation principles of the Société Générale Group.

Technical Stack

  1. Front: Angular (15)
  2. Back: Java 17, Spring Framework
  3. Data: Oracle & PostgreSQL
  4. Hexagonal architecture
  5. Monitoring: ELK stack
  6. CI/CD/Dev tools: GIT, Docker/Kubernetes, Jenkins, Private cloud (VM)

Practices

  1. SCRUM (Agility)
  2. CRAFTMANSHIP: TDD, BDD, Clean Code, SOLID principles

The key responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:

  1. Developing new features: conception, development, testing, deployment
  2. Being responsible for homogenous development, promoting reuse and encouraging usage of transversal tools
  3. Promoting simplicity in solutions and building solutions in small increments
  4. Making sure best practices are followed across the team (TDD, BDD, documentation, ADR)
  5. Acting as a main point of contact for other teams
  6. Respecting Craftsmanship & DevOps practices
  7. Creating and maintaining documentation
  8. Sharing knowledge within program community
  9. Providing support in production, fixing bugs and enhancing existing features (“You build it, you run it”)
  10. Following up on release management using DevOps tools
  11. Following, attending and participating in SCRUM ceremonies – Sprint of 2 weeks

Profile required

We expect from the candidates:

  1. 5-10 years of professional experience as a fullstack developer
  2. Technical expertise: Java , Spring framework , Angular , SQL
  3. Interest in banking domain
  4. Problem solving and analytical skills
  5. Excellent communication skills and team player’s mindset
  6. Ability to coach and guide developers
  7. Fluency in English, French is nice to have
