Position: Full Stack Engineer in the regional EMEA IT Payments team

Role Overview:

You will develop, maintain, and support back-end payment-related services and interfaces processing SEPA payments, SWIFT messages, and internal accounting entries. You will also be responsible for building front-end services used internally across the European region.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

This project focuses on replacing one of the Banks core banking systems along with a surrounding set of external applications with a new software solution. The modernization of the infrastructure impacts all IT teams, including the Regional EMEA Payments IT team.

Main project objectives are:

• Building and supporting services, microservices, and applications (back-end & front-end) in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, ReactJS, while maintaining standard products.
• Reducing cost and complexity of interfacing with surrounding systems from a “point to point” approach to a modern approach with an integration layer such as APIs, MuleSoft, Kafka topics, and microservices patterns.
• Reducing costs in testing by adopting automation testing frameworks.
• Increasing Straight-Through Processing (STP) capabilities of services.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Development, maintenance, and support (DevOps) of services using Java with Spring Boot.
• Managing the payment services portfolio hosted on cloud and on-premises.
• Development, maintenance, and support of service-related interfaces (orchestration layer) using APIs or microservices patterns.
• Using Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, RTC, G3, Nexus for artifact management and code release mechanisms.
• Following Agile & DevOps methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint).
• Working with Business Analysts and Project/Product Managers to understand business requirements and translate them into development sprints.

SKILLS:

• Knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot is desirable.
• Database technologies and SQL are essential, with Oracle preferred.
• Working understanding of ReSTful microservices and APIs is essential.
• Experience in a DevOps delivery team is preferable.
