Project and role overview:
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Fullstack Engineer to join our client team and help them build out their product analytics and user-tracking events.
Our client is the leading SaaS platform for public relations and communications professionals. Their mission is to enable organizations to build trust, tell their stories, and demonstrate the unique value of earned media. They are AI-powered, comprehensive, and integrated platform streamlines the PR workflow to help businesses generate positive media coverage, monitor mentions to manage brand reputation, and analyze PR’s impact on business outcomes.As a contractor, you39ll be expected to take full ownership of this project, working independently while maintaining communication with the team.
Tech stack includes Python, Django, Celery, MySQL, ElasticSearch, Vue, and Webpack.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing a list of 100+ product events across various interactions, using PostHog for tracking and building out the required metrics.
• Collaborating with the product team to identify key user actions and product features for tracking.
• Working within the Django framework for backend integrations and contributing to front-end development using Vue.js to embed the tracking code across the platform.
• Ensuring all events are thoroughly tested and optimized for performance.

• Min 3 years of experience of in fullstack software engineering with a focus on Vue.js for frontend development and preferably some experience with Django for backend.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js or similar) and comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with integrating PostHog or similar analytics tools to track user events and gather product metrics (MixPanel, Google Analytics).
• Experience working with SQL databases and familiarity with designing efficient database schemas for event tracking.
• A track record of successfully adding tracking and analytics events to large-scale web applications.
