Join our team as a Fullstack Developer!

Description of the position:

Cluster Daily Banking (DBK) delivers fast, client-focused Daily Banking products and services for online channel. Our main products are around everything needed for our private customers on the online channel.

By using J2EE, REST and SOAP APIs, React.js, and Apache Wicket, we are developing in the environment of Cross Channel Banking (CCB).

Within the cluster DBK, the development team provides new digital products and solutions directly for the customers of the Bank. You will develop new frontends, modules, or interfaces for these products in close cooperation with business analysts and application operation experts of your team.

What you will be doing?

• Developing new web-based applications and frontends for digital products and services of the Bank as part of the portal platform.
• Using ready-to-use React components (Commerzbank living Style Guide) and designing new components to create React frontends for various use cases.
• Designing and developing interfaces to connect frontends to backends, understanding complex business requirements and business data objects of digital finance functionalities and processes with support from business analysts and other developers.
• Supporting incident resolution, bug fixing, and assisting the test and development team.
• Working in an agile team setup, collaborating with business domain colleagues, business analysts, architects, developers, and application operation experts.
• Participating in scrum ceremonies (Daily, Planning, Review, Retro) using VidCo/Telco or – exceptionally – in person.

Which technology & skills are important for us?

• High knowledge of HTML 5, CSS.
• High knowledge of Java, J2EE, Java Frameworks Spring.
• Good knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design/architecture.
• Good knowledge of frontend integration with backends using API / REST.
• Good knowledge of build processes for frontend applications: Bundling, Node.js.

Nice to have:

• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux.
• Basic knowledge of JIRA/Confluence.
• Good knowledge of Agile Software Development / Scrum.
• Good knowledge of Secure Coding Practices.
