We are looking for a skilled Software Developer with expertise in handling large datasets to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development with proficiency in Python, SQL, React, PHP, Java, Docker, Bash scripting, and Linux systems, coupled with experience in working with big data technologies. As a Software Developer focused on big data, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing software solutions to manage and analyze large volumes of data efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and data needs for projects involving large datasets.
• Design and develop robust software solutions for processing, storing, and analyzing large-scale data using Python, SQL, React, PHP, Java, Docker, Bash scripting, and relevant big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, HBase).
• Implement data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest, clean, and transform raw data into usable formats for analysis.
• Optimize data processing workflows and algorithms to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability in handling large datasets.
• Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to integrate machine learning models and analytics algorithms into data processing pipelines.
• Develop monitoring and logging solutions to track data quality, pipeline performance, and system health.
• Collaborate with DevOps team to deploy and manage big data infrastructure in cloud or on-premises environments.
• Conduct code reviews, perform testing, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in big data and analytics, and evaluate their potential for application in our projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their growth and development in big data technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Developer or Software Engineer with a focus on big data technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL, React, PHP, Python, Java, Docker, Bash scripting, and Linux systems.
• Strong understanding of big data concepts, architectures, and technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, and HBase.
• Experience with building and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks and parallel processing techniques.
• Solid understanding of database systems, data modeling, and query optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
