We are seeking an experienced full-stack software engineer to help us develop platform automation, with a focus on backend technologies. You will work on a GPU provisioning system. The role is based out of Gdansk, Poland.

About Mako

Mako is a venture-backed tech startup building software infrastructure for high performance AI inference and training on any hardware.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining backend services
• Integration with deployment platform and various cloud providers
• Automated testing and deployment pipeline maintenance
• Participating in architectural discussions
• Collaboration with other teams

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in backend programming with minimum of 2 with Python
• Work out of the office in Gdansk at least once a week
• Experience in designing and developing IT systems with DDD in mind
• Excellent knowledge of the Python programming language (optionally another chosen language that fits backend needs)
• Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ
• Proficiency in version control systems
• Good understanding of agile methodologies
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
• Experience with Docker: creating and managing containerized applications. Knowledge of Kubernetes or other orchestration tools is a plus
• At least some experience with frontend - JavaScript, TypeScript, frameworks like React and NextJS
• Good written and verbal communication skills - English (B2+) and Polish
