The Front-End Engineer (React Java), Officer will take care of the enhancement and maintenance of one or more Alpha/Charles River Development modules or components of an agile scrum team. He/She will also provide engineering troubleshooting assistance to customer support teams and other development teams within Charles River. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong, senior level engineering team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial space. This job is a hybrid role with at 3 days in the office per week, which you can perform from our offices in Krakow and Gdansk. We are seeking a React Developer to join CRD Front Office Trading department in building and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications. The role focuses on building robust, scalable and secure front-end solutions using React with some working knowledge of Java backend systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in large codebase, following enterprise development standards and collaborating across multiple teams. Your responsibilities Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using React.js Implement reusable, responsive, high-performance UI component employing frontend architecture patterns Implement software programs, applications using Java Integrate React applications with Java based backend services Work closely with UX, backend, QA and DevOps teams in a structured enterprise environment Participate in backend development tasks such as API integration, minor enhancements and bug fixes Ensure application performance, security and scalability standards are met Engage in the agile software development process and participate in code reviews, sprint planning and release activities Write unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality end product Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely fixes Our requirements B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study required. MS degree strongly preferred. 2-4 yrs of experience developing Single Page Application (SPAs) using React Experience with React Hooks and component-based architecture Experience with JavaScript/Typescript, DOM, Modern CSS3 Experience with prominent React/JavaScript libraries including Redux and RxJS.
