The Role

An inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees is looking for an FP&A Analyst.

Working within the FP&A team of Imperial Brands’ Centre of Capability, this is a high-profile role supporting GSC Operations and Factory Controlling, reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager of the respective area (strong cooperation and dotted line reporting to Head of Finance Operations). The Analyst role will be responsible for the creation/production of timely and accurate financial data (plans, forecasts, latest estimates, monthly reports etc.) and initial variance analysis & support across the factory network.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Supporting the Head of Operations by preparing reporting and analysis for the GSC Operations (CAPEX, Working Capital, P&L, write-offs, provisions, idle equipment).
  2. Responsible for ongoing monthly reporting on the factory results and variances, financial forecasts for the current financial and plan years to meet the requirements and deadlines.
  3. Provide extended insights & commentary of movements between actuals, forecasts, latest estimates and last year, with supporting variance analysis of various financials.
  4. Responsible for preparing monthly reporting with first pass narrative.
  5. Act as a representative of FP&A during Business Reviews, Financial Town Halls, Service Management meetings.
  6. Work collaboratively with the other CoC FP&A team members to ensure cross-market learning, communication and continuous process improvement to automate & enhance reporting capability (both technology and process improvements).

Skills & Experience

  1. Supporting a multi-national FP&A operation from a Shared Service Centre/captive perspective.
  2. Significant PQE experience in Controlling/Manufacturing or FP&A ideally within FMCG/CPG industry.
  3. Knowledge of ERP and complex financial models (Excel-based).
  4. Business Intelligence experience (Power BI, VBA, Python, or Power Query) and understanding of technical capabilities.
  5. Ability to extract & analyse financial information and explain it clearly at senior levels.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively across an organisation and externally in order to resolve issues.
  7. Is naturally curious, proactive and motivated, and has a continuous improvement mindset. Able to react to changing circumstances (both internally & externally).
